‘Come fly with me’ features a dancing pair of pīwaiwaka | fantail carrying banners of mānuka, swooping and spreading their beautiful wings and tail feathers, rejoicing in the bountiful supply of food. Believe it or not, pīwaiwaka | fantail birds are one of Aotearoa | New Zealand’s fierce hunters! And those beautiful long tail feathers aren’t just for looks, they also help them to twist and turn very quickly during flight.
