This is the project that we use to demonstrate warping back to front in our Ya Gotta be Warped to Weave class. It is the perfect short warp that is ideal to practice getting a warp on your loom, and it weaves up quickly if you want to make a number of quick gifts. Project Description: 10 Mug Rugs 20 EPI, varied PPI 4.5” in reed Equipment Needed: Loom with at least 4.5” weaving width, 10 dent reed Boat shuttle and bobbins for fine weft and a Rag, Ski or Stick Shuttle for heavy weft Yarn Needed: Two colors of 5/2 Tubular Spectrum™ Mercerized Cotton Yarn, 1.5 oz each. For warp and thin weft yarn. Thick Weft: We suggest: 8/16 Repp Filler Yarn or ½” fabric strips or bundles of thrums (left over warp yarns from another project).
